New for 2012 !! 2nd Annual Pride Parade. With the great success last year of our Inaugural Pride Parade we are pleased to announce another big step. Making History Again! This year, the parade will be leaving from and returning to the Oshawa Centre.  Be part of the Second Annual Pride Parade . Join the LGBTQ community, our families, friends, and allies in downtown Oshawa and show your pride and celebrate diversity.

"Putting the Unity in Community".
Is our theme for 2012. With all the activity and stress in Durham this year. We felt the need to express to the community that we need Unity amongst ourselves. Any infighting, only damages the community and weakens us. Negativity only breads negativity. With all the stress outside our community, we need Unity in order to fight the constant battles that come our way. Of course there will be differences and not all organizations or people will want to work with each other. However, if we agree to disagree on some things but always treat each other with respect without negativity, we can survive. We ask all our Durham Region Family to please work together and work towards a United Durham Region.

There will be activities all week from Flag Raisings, Youth Pride events at D.A.A.S.C and ending with the Sunday Parade and Queer Stock Music Festival at Memorial Park. The Saturday Festival will include entertainment, vendors, community partners, food and beverages and so much more! Ending the day with a fantastic show and dance party at Dnipro Hall in Oshawa.
